Hi Guys,

 

I'm a long time Flexraid user but looking to move onto Unraid because of the lack of updates/support over at Flexraid.

 

The big advantage I have with Flexraid is it works in a VM in VirtualBox. I believe unRaid requires a GUID from a USB key to license it. Can I passthrough or run a virtual USB disk and have unRaid work with Virtual box? Does the passthrough SATA mode in Virtualbox actually work properly with all unraid functions?

    Not sure with VirtualBox but I were testing unRAID on my VMWare Workstation and it was pretty straightforward to "pass through" (not sure if it's actually passing through) a USB stick to boot + have GUID to register.
