Unraid 6.1.9 - Network stops after a day

Featured Replies

So, I'm having trouble reaching my unraid server after around one day online time.

Seems like it's network card "dies" or just stops working. After a reboot (reset button on computer) it's fine.

Before I rebooted it the second time this happened there was activity on the LAN port but no IP listed on my router.

Tried rebooting the router, but still nothing.

The Log from Dashboard only contains information since last reboot. Is there somewhere I can access a logfile that contains information before I force-restarted ?

If you install the Powerdown plugin (highly recommended), it will save the diagnostics on each shutdown, to the /logs folder of the boot drive.

You might try the Tips and Tweaks wiki page (use the Tips and Tweaks plugin) to see if disabling offload makes a difference.  Otherwise, you may have a faulty NIC.  The most recommended around here are the Intel's.

Ok, thanks for great tips.

I'll try to let in run a few days, without starting the array and see what happens. :)

Bought me a Intel PWLA8391GT just in case.

EDIT:

So, it's been running fine for 1 day and 3 hours, without loosing connection.

I've started the Array now and installed that plugin you mentioned.

Now it's just to have some patience and see.
