Move disks between 2 unRaid servers

Hi guys,

 

was wondering...I'm copying data to a 2nd unRaid server (2 x 1TB, no parity disk).

After I'm done, can i take out the 2 TB disks and put them in my main unRaid server?

    Yes.  Your main unRaid server will have to recalculate its parity at that time.

     

    Better idea is to put the two precleared disks in your main unRaid server, and do the copying there.

    That way it won't have to rebuild parity.
