January 25, 20179 yr Building a new unraid server and when looking at the logs on boot I was seeing an error with /dev/sr0. I get the following output [0:0:0:0] disk SanDisk SanDisk Cruzer 8.02 /dev/sda [0:0:0:1] cd/dvd SanDisk SanDisk Cruzer 8.02 /dev/sr0 [1:0:0:0] disk ATA HGST HDN724040AL A5E0 /dev/sdb [1:0:1:0] disk ATA HGST HDN724040AL A5E0 /dev/sdc [1:0:2:0] disk ATA HGST HDN724040AL A5E0 /dev/sdd [1:0:3:0] disk ATA HGST HDN724040AL A5E0 /dev/sde [2:0:0:0] disk ATA Samsung SSD 840 BB6Q /dev/sdf [3:0:0:0] disk ATA Samsung SSD 840 BB6Q /dev/sdg My flash drive is being mounted to sda and sr0. Is this something I should be concerned with?
January 26, 20179 yr That's most likely a Sandisk U2 drive. You can try and see if it boots unRAID. Most people get the Sandisk U2 removal too, and remove the U2 partition and stuff (that's the sr0 partition you are seeing). That gives you access to all of the drive space. Then you reformat it with FAT (or FAT variant).
