March 15, 201016 yr There seemed to be a chance my USB Key was dying on me (got a corrupted file on it at one point), so I backed it up. Seemed to work fine again after that, so I upgraded from free to Plus. Added passworded user shares, and added some files. Then I stopped using my server for awhile (didn't need access to any of it's current contents, and needed my power supply for something else). Long story short, I realized today when I went to use my server again, that I lost my USB key while moving my computer from my home to my dorm (or vice versa - not sure at what stage I lost it). In retrospect, it was an incredibly poor decision to simply leave the USB key plugged into the back while I carried it up/down several flights of stairs (I figured "oh, well, if I put it in a pocket or something I'll probably lose it". Oops.) Now, I've still got (the same) 3 hard drives in it, with the same configuration that I've got in the UNRAIDKEYBACKUP\ on my computer. All that changed since I made the backup was adding files/folders to it, and taking advantage of the security features of Plus to add passwords to user shares. Would it be possible to boot up with the free version on another USB Key I have? (and it just wouldn't have the passwords). If not, would I probably be okay moving my backup to a new PLUS key, and booting from that? (and in either scenario will I lose the files I transferred post-backup?). Any advice, instructions, or info would be greatly appreciated.
