May 17, 20179 yr I have a Super Micro h8dgi-f socket g34 motherboard. running 16 core AMD processors. I find the supermicro bios settings a bit overwhelming and non descriptive. does anyone know what settings i should enable in the bios for unraid to run smoothly? I have made sure iommu and hvm are enabled. but everything else i am unsure. I am on the unraid trial currently testing gpu passthough. I have a fury X and i am disappointed a simple windows 10 reboot in my vm does not reset the pci-e bus on my fury X so i have to reboot or cold boot the entire machine to get the VM to reinitialize the fury X graphic card. I am in the process of updating the fury X to uefi bios to see if that helps. Also I was wondering if enabling plug and play in the bios of the supermicro motherboard might help get the video card to reinitialize when restarting the VM. Any tips on how to work around this issue. If i cannot get this to work i may have to switch to another hypervisor. I am not gonna reboot my entire unraid box just to get one vm to reinitialize the video card. thanks
