April 18, 201016 yr Need advice before I click anything. I was almost done with parity sync to a new 2TB parity drive and the power went out for a few minutes (yes I know I need a UPS, it's on the list ). While the box was off I swapped the parity drive to a new slot so that parity would come up unassigned. My hope is I can just assign the parity drive again and start the array which will start a fresh parity sync. I just wanted to make sure this is OK before I proceed.

Yes, you can re-start the process. You don't need to move the parity disk to a new slot, but it won't hurt either. It will not start where it left off, it will do it all again from the beginning. The parity disk is probably still assigned from before the power was lost. If you physically moved the parity disk, you will need to re-assign it, or move it back.
