Hi,

 

I am using unraid almost a year now and i tought i should give vms with gpu passtrough a go.

 

Now i have onboard graphics selected in bios.

I have a working vm win 10 with a gtx 960.

I have another vm no video signal with a gtx 660ti

Is the one that is not working attempting to pass through the primary video device? If so, you may need to supply a ROM file.

No the console runs on onboard vga

 

So i have 3 screens

1 onboard GPU unraid console (working)

1 vm win 10 gtx 960 ( working )

1 vm win 10 gtx 660ti ( not working )

I do not believe that the 660ti has a UEFI BIOS.

Not 100% sure, but I believe that is required for passthrough.

 

You might find a .ROM file for a 660Ti with UEFI BIOS from anther vendor.

 

One of the SpaceInvader One videos on passthrough discusses the non-UEFI BIOS issue, but don't remember which one.

 

To rule out possible interaction with the other Nvidia card, you might remove the 960 while you are experimenting with getting the 660Ti working.

My vm does regocnize the card as a 660ti,

Also it automaticly installed the drivers,

Looking trough vnc.

 

A quick search for "uefi vbios bios passthrough" yielded several promising links including this one.
