May 26, 201016 yr I've got a bad USB thumb drive, I think. I want to try another one. What's the best way to prep the second USB drive? Just copy over everything from the first drive? Assuming I initialize the second drive using the normal procedure, what files/dirs should I copy from the old USB stick to the new, fresh one? I assume all of /config. Anything else?
May 26, 201016 yr You need to set the volume label on the new drive to UNRAID You need to run syslinux on it to make it bootable You need to copy the config folder to the new drive. Joe L.
May 26, 201016 yr This will work fine if you are using the free version of unRAID. Otherwise, you will have to contact LimeTech to issue you a new license based on the new flash drive's GUID.
May 26, 201016 yr I think your question is answered here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=6360.0
May 26, 201016 yr Author Thanks, guys... I'm running a test on the new USB drive now (Flash Drive Tester 1.14, found it on the web). If it passes, I'll initialize it and copy over the /config and /unmenu stuff.
