Lost Network Connection

Featured Replies

Problem: My Unraid server seems to have lost it's connection to the internet. I can't find \\tower on my network. I've tried rebooting but no luck. Everything was working fine last week. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Forget it. I figured it out. For some reason the bios reset to defaults. It's all fixed now.

I think my house had a power outage yesterday and that caused the problem.

Joe

jermmd,

You don't have your unRaid on a fairly large capacity UPS?

If you do, was the power outage on for that long?

My home control system will notify me of a power outage so I can dismount and shutdown the array remotely before my 1kw UPS runs out of power.

TCIII,

What home control system do you use? and for what functions?

I am moving into a new home in about 2 months, and would love to be able to monitor the pool, sprinklers, A/C etc via my laptop.

Thanks

DeathtoToasters,

I presently have a JDS Stargate SG-IP, which has the Web Xpaneder daughter card, and is also connected to my GE Caddx NX8e alarm system which can page me in the event of an emergency.

You might want to checkout the HAI Omii whole house controllers too.
