June 15, 20188 yr Running a Ryzen system and trying to create VMs for testing. But every time I go into the VM, Add VM, then set the options for Ubuntu, the server hangs. No ping reply after clicking Create VM. I waited several minutes(had lunch came back) and system was still unresponsive. This happens with Windows image I tried to import as well. System is stable with C states disabled in BIOS and rcu_nocbs=0-11 fix for my 1600 Ryzen in syslinux. Currently running Plex with no issue for a couple days. This system hang for VM creation is bugging me hard. June 18, 20188 yr Author Resolved by going scorched earth. Backup any data on test unraid, not much just starting out. Recreated unraid USB, using 6.5.3 this time instead of 6.5.2. Ran Preclear on all disks. Cleared bios and only disabled SMT and enabled HVM for VM support. After the refresh everything is working right. I am not disabling C states disabled in BIOS or using rcu_nocbs=0-11. System appears stable as is in 6.5.3 without the specific Ryzen fixes, nock on wood but good to know I still have those cards to play. David
