SentryChicken
Hello, i have 2 questions. 1. An windows 10 vm didn't boot up while using a gtx 1050ti. Same vm worked perfectly using r7 250. Is there any solution so the gtx 1050ti will be able to run a vm? 2. Im about to create a nas vm and want to make use in seagate ironwolf hdds. What i didnt understand is the recommendation for parity disks. Does it need to have higher capacity than the restof the drives or its ok to use identical drives which one or two of them will use as parity drives? Quote Link to comment
testdasi
1. You need to attach diagnostics. Can't diagnose without diagnostic. 2a. "NAS VM" = you are either very confused about unRAID NAS and VM functionalities or you are doing something redundant. unRAID on its own already serves as a NAS, there's no need to run a VM to use that NAS functionality. 2b. Parity needs to be the same size OR larger than your largest data disk. So identical drive to the largest data disk is fine - but be careful that you don't accidentally add a data drive to the parity slot. Very easy to make this mistake and lose data.
