USB

i already purchased the digi usb and will soon get the sewell HDMI over network.  currently have pretty good fiber networking through the house so i shouldnt need to worry about putting too much of a strain on the network.

my worries are that the latency from having everything on network will prove to be too bad for gaming.

i will try these on a VM and see what the results are like.

The digi has worked really well over the network.  it is almost seemless.

As for the sewell HDMI, it looks like that is a no-go as you cant have multiple transmitters and receivers on the same network.

instead i will be looking into this product:

I figured more people would be interested in this as you can bypass USB passthrough altogether, as it would be using a networked USB connection.

But i guess not.

I've gotten around to trying the nyrius aries prime, and unfortunately the lag is so bad that it will not work.  until wireless or networked HDMI improves i will be stuck using hdmi cables.
