uberm
So for the past 4 days I have been trying to figure out why rtorrent (running on my vm) would not start downloading to my unraid share (ubuntu isos btw) and I found the solution. It turns out all you have to do is modify your fstab line to include cache=mmap and reboot. Here is an example fstab with the correct fix: sharename /mnt/placetomntinguestvm 9p msize=262144,trans=virtio,version=9p2000.L,cache=mmap,rw 0 0 1 Quote Link to comment
kexxt
I just created an account to say THANK YOU I have been struggling with this for so long and your fix was the first thing that actually worked. Torrents are now downloading finally. I prefer running rtorrent on a VM, its faster than in docker Quote Link to comment
