Please let me know if there is any other information needed to help me make unraid find my 2080ti. Thanks.

I built the following system with the following:

GPUs: Zotac Triple Fan 2080ti and MSI Armor Radeon 580 8gb

PSU: 750w platinum.

Model: TOWER COMPUTER CONFIG 1

M/B: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. X399 AORUS PRO-CF Version x.x - s/n: Default string

BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. Version F2e. Dated: 03/09/2019

CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 16-Core @ 3500 MHz

HVM: Enabled

IOMMU: Enabled

Cache: 1536 KiB, 8192 KiB, 32768 KiB

Memory: 32 GiB DDR4 (max. installable capacity 512 GiB)

Network: bond0: fault-tolerance (active-backup), mtu 1500
 eth0: 1000 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500

Kernel: Linux 4.19.56-Unraid x86_64

OpenSSL: 1.1.1c

I have not been able to see or access the 2080ti which is in the first gpu slot as it is missing from the system devices in Unraid. I have built and have access to a Windows 10 VM with the passthrough RX 580. I boot Unraid from a USB 2.0 using the default option which is headless. A console does appear on the monitor attached to the RTX 2080ti and it will also display the gui if launched that way.

The initial issue was caused by using the IOMMU Groupings available in the x399 Aorus Pro Bios as Auto instead of enabled. The graphics card is available after this is updated.

The new issue now is that passing through the card now causes the groupings to be invalid.

internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2019-07-04T04:17:14.672059Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=42:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x5,romfile=/mnt/cache/domains/vbios/Zotac.RTX2080Ti.rom: vfio 0000:42:00.0: group 11 is not viable Please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver.

The next step to fixing the issue is to change the syslinux.cfg either through manually editing the file or accessing it from the boot device flash in the Unraid -> Main Menu. Then add the following life vfio-pci.ids= (insert address such as 10de:10e7), (other addresses) in the group that is giving you the not viable error.

After the groups are bound then the devices should boot as expected.
