July 27, 200718 yr Hi, I am using the Lime Technology Intel logic board & Promise controllers.. And I have recently (Since 4.1) installed another PATA IDE Card, Not Manufactured by Promise. I then transfered two of my drives to this new card, and these drives are working correctly (Disks 12 & 13), so I am discounting this issue as being a problem with the new card. No matter what I do, Disk 15 shows up as unformatted, even if I take a disk that has been successfully formatted in a different slot. If I try to format it, it never formats. Disk 14 & 15 are on a Promise card. Here is a screen shot: And my Syslog: http://www.totallymac.com/images/forums/syslog1.txt Help.. Daniel

July 27, 200718 yr It appears to me that commands sent to disk15-hdl return identical error responses from both disk14-hdk and disk15-hdl. Commands sent to disk14-hdk seem OK. So I too would suggest replacing the cable to disk14 and disk15, plus verify that the jumpers on both drives are set correctly.
