View files on flash

Featured Replies

I'm Sorry.

I know I have seen this posted before, But at the time I was just setting up unRaid so I

wasn't interested and, of course, now I can't find the original post.

Problem:

I can see the flash drive in my network places and see the config folder on the flash drive,

but I cant see the contents of anything in the drive. I tried setting explorer to show hidden files but

that didn't work.

The flash drive setting is Read/Write.

So how do I see these files??

Bill

Hmmm...it looks like you have the right idea....

1.  Export the flash drive.

2.  Connect to the flash drive through "My Network Places"

3.  Adjust Windows Explorer to show "hidden files & folders".

Can you view normally hidden files on your C: drive?

Yes, I can view all hidden files on c:/

I'm sure I could view the files if I plug the flash into the PC, but that would be a PITA.

Any other suggestions.

Unset the option on the windows box that is labeled "hide protected operating system files" and see if the files then show up.

Thanks Joe, That did it..

I knew about that setting, but didn't give it a thought.

Thanks again
