January 22, 20206 yr Hi, does anyone know if the DELL H200E (external sas) is compatible out of the box with UNRAID? Just carouse because I can’t anywhere where it says it is or isnt. I have seen where they have been flashed to IT Mode but somewhere someone’s said they had tried a H200 and worked out of the box. Since I am new to these cards I don’t know if “H200” means the same as “H200E”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 22, 20206 yr I have a H200E and needed to cross flash it stock LSI and to IT mode. Works fine now though.

January 24, 20206 yr Hi, This was the guide I used. Basically, create a bootable USB with RUFUS (free download), copy the files you need onto it. The USB boots into a version of FreeDos and you can then run the commands at the prompt. https://www.ixsystems.com/community/threads/crossflash-dell-h200e-to-lsi-9200-8e.41307/ This works best with a non UEFI bios, or the bios set to legacy. I do have an old board I tend to flash cards / drives in, just because it's less messing with my existing PC or NAS but there should be no issue flashing in place as long as you only have 1 card installed. Some EFI boards can be a challenge, hence easier in an older board. The main issue I has was getting a copy of sas2flsh from the P7 or earlier firmware. The vendor download doesn't come with a copy and the later versions prevent the cross flash. I think I got a P5 version which works from the google drive link at the bottom of this guide here: https://www.ixsystems.com/community/resources/detailed-newcomers-guide-to-crossflashing-lsi-9211-9300-9311-hba-and-variants.54/ linked in the original post. It's easy and only takes a few minutes once you have the files lined up.
