Hi everyone

 

I've set up a VM with PfSense and I'm having trouble getting throughput between my DMZ <-> LAN subnets, which are VLANs attached to 1 NIC.

The PCIe card is passed through to the VM, I've tried disabling hw processing.

If I disable Firewall function of PfSense, I get 1gbit throughput.

 

I've made a drawing of the setup attached to this post.

 

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

 

Please let me know if you need additional details.

 

EDIT: forgot to mention that when firewall function is enabled I get like 2mbit through for a second and then it drops to like 5kbit. (Using iperf)

From LAN (vlan 5) to WAN I max my connection (150mbit)

 

Hardware:

4 vCPU Ryzen 7 1700

8GB ddr4 ram

Intel i350 NIC
