September 2, 200718 yr Newegg has the Rosewill RC-209 add on card for sale for $10 AR. I wanted to see if anyone knows if they would work or not for a unRaid setup. Thanks. September 2, 200718 yr You may want a better answer from someone who has actually tried one, but I can see no reason it wouldn't work. It's based on the Silicon Image Sil3114 chipset, which is used on many motherboards used here, and uses the sata_sil driver, commonly used here also. Other Linux users are happy with it, using sata_sil. Newegg reviewers mention unreliabilty problems often, so if it works - great, but if not, you are only out $10. Several reviewers also mentioned no support for drives greater than 500GB. Its performance will be limited by the PCI bus, fine for single drive access, but will impact simultaneous access.
