Very erractic speed from ESXi to Unraid FTP

Hi,

 

I am quite new to Unriad but not to technology in general. In the past I toyed with the idea of moving into Unraid, but I finally did it. however, I now have some issues I need some help with please?

 

I have an ESXi server which I use for some my study labs and I frequently have to backup machines using FTP. I installed ProFTPd and it seems to be working settings wise. However speed wise I am very baffled.

 

I have 10GBE NIC on the ESXi Server and Chelsio SFP+ 10GB NIC on the Unraid side connected by 10GB Netgear switch.

 

When I use my QNAP the speed is constant and I get more than 200MB towards the QNAP,

However, when I use my new Unraid server, speed so erratic and fluctuates between 260MB and 40MB.

 

I tried moving the FTP folder into SSD cash, used SSD only array but it did not make a difference.

 

Any help is appreciated.
