July 22, 20205 yr The Fix common problems plugin alerted me to a warning, "You may experience slow read/writes to cache2." Attempts to fix the issue are unsuccessful and a `SG_IO: bad/missing sense data` error is shown. I ran the first command to get an understanding of the drive then the next to enable write caching, unsuccessfully. Any advice on fixing this issue? root:~# hdparm -I /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD10EARX-00N0YB0_WD-WMC0T0478211 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD10EARX-00N0YB0_WD-WMC0T0478211: ATA device, with non-removable media Model Number: WDC WD10EARX-00N0YB0 Serial Number: WD-WMC0T0478211 Firmware Revision: 51.0AB51 Transport: Serial, SATA 1.0a, SATA II Extensions, SATA Rev 2.5, SATA Rev 2.6, SATA Rev 3.0 root@:~# hdparm -W 1 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD10EARX-00N0YB0_WD-WMC0T0478211 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD10EARX-00N0YB0_WD-WMC0T0478211: setting drive write-caching to 1 (on) SG_IO: bad/missing sense data, sb[]: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0a 04 61 40 00 21 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 write-caching = 0 (off)
