This morning when I woke up I found that one of my disks(disk1)  is flashing red in my 8 disk array.

 

When I try to look at the data on disk1 or disk 2, nothing shows in the directory.

 

I can still see the data on disks 3 - 8...

 

Any ideas on how to get my data back on track?

I would start by checking the power and data connections between the mobo and drives.  SATA connectors, in particular, can easily come loose.
