MasterOfKittens
Hi all, I'm planing to migrate from my Qnap TS-231 to Unraid and having a bit of struggle whats the ideal setup. So i would appreciate if you could take a look. Reasons to migrate: -ability to extend by adding new drives (i've got some spares) -more features (docker, vms) Hardware: -Fractal Design Node 804 -MSI B450M-PRO -AMD Ryzen 3000G -16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600MHz -Dell Perc H200 (already crossflashed) -Bequiet Pure Power 11 400W -2x WD RED 10 TB (currently in the Qnap, 1 planned as Parity) -3x HGST NAS 4 TB -500GB Kingston M2 SSD (planned as cache) -500GB Samsung Evo 860 SSD (planned as mirror for cache) Question: I'm planning to use the Nexcloud Docker since i want to sync my smartphone and provide storage to family and friends. Is there any disadvantage if i'm not using normal shares at all? Quote Link to comment
