September 17, 200718 yr Hello all I'm finally getting around to rebuilding my UnRaid (Pro) server. The original was running on a P4P800-E Deluxe and as a temporary solution I have been running a 'backup' UnRaid off a MSI K8NGM2-FID motherboard. My order from newegg is arriving today and I want to move everything over to the new mb which is a P5B-VM DO. Currently I'm only using 3 SATA drives on the backup server. Will this be as simple as noting the current drive assignments as they are now, moving the drives to the new mb, reassigning the drives in the correct order, and finally running a parity check? Or is there a different method to use? This is 4.0 server Thanks Dennis

Odds are a full parity check will not occur if you use the same flash USB drive and unRaid key. AQ parity check would only occur if the array config changed, or it did not see that the array was cleanly stopped before the re-boot. Joe L.
September 19, 200718 yr Author Thanks for the reply. It all went smoothly! (Too smoothly....Nothing ever works that easy for me). The hardest part was getting the bios settings right in order to boot. Next step is to start pulling the ata data hds and sata parity hd that were used with the original mb and put them in the new box. Shouldn't be an issue, I hope. Thanks again.
