Dirtracer49
Are these the breakout cables needed for SuperMicro SASLP controllers? http://www.surpluscomputers.com/350320/house-brand-molex-79576-3007-mini.html If so, they seem like a good deal at $6 each. Link to comment
bcbgboy13
This is a good catch but it appears that these are "reverse" breakout cables and thus only usable by the Norco 4220/4224 owners (and then they will only use one cable of this type to connect one of the backplanes to four of the motherboard SATA ports) It also is a 1m long and made with heavy gauge wires (AWG 26) compared to the regular AWG 30 assemblies with shorter length. http://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/795763007_sd.pdf Link to comment
Rajahal
bcbgboy13 is correct - those are reverse breakout cables, so they will NOT work with the Supermicro SASLP controllers. They are to connect the case's backplane to the motherboard SATA ports. Still, at $6 each and free shipping I'm stocking up! Great find! I use these cables in my larger builds all the time. It is too bad that they are 1m instead of the .5m ones I generally use, but oh well. Link to comment
