Sorry, no rails

2 have handles, and 2 do not.

All have single processor,

*a xeon 5160 @3ghz http://ark.intel.com/products/27219/Intel-Xeon-Processor-5160-4M-Cache-3_00-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB

OR

*a Xeon 5240 @3ghz http://ark.intel.com/products/34739/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5240-6M-Cache-3_00-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB

All have 3gb of Ram, but can be upgraded to 64GB

i have not tested this board with UnRaid yet, but plan to in the next few weeks.

these are large units and weight in around 60lbs.

$300 each plus shipping, otherwise i can meet within 3 hours of 53959 (reedsburg, WI)

if there are specific pictures you would like or questions you have please let me know

christopher

I would like to reserve one of these with the 5240, with handles, pending your UNRAID testing is successful.  Is that possible?

Thanks!

Yes, I can do that. I am out of town until monday, but I will try to start when I return.

Good Deal!

Safe Travels, and I'll await your reply.

  • 1 month later...

What were the result of testing unRaid on this serverboard setup? Anything still available? I'm interesting in building a new xeon based machine and want to build inside a rackmount as I already own the rack and rails.

Thanks

I wasn't holding my breath, but was still keeping an eye on this thread.

Curious if there's any updates as well.

I am so sorry guys. Everything is here, life is just getting in the way. I have not had a chance to even plug them in yet. I will do my best to get at them before Christmas.

Sounds good.  I'm not in a hurry, I have a new business to run.

Just keep me first in line, and send me a message if I miss your update.

Happy Holidays!

wow, really, 2.5 years for me to get to this.

well, here are the results. i currently have one of these running at my office as a backup to my main unraid setup at my house. it works just fine. i did have to go into the bios and activate the onboard sata ports (don't know why), but this test unit currently has (8) 8 TB drives and a 240gb ssd installed. parity check says around 94.1mb read speed.

i will probably use one more of these as an onsite backup so that leaves one or two available.

still have 2 of these left

great machines for anyone looking to get into a rackmount array.
