I was looking to try out unRAID to replace freenas-I just find it too heavy on system requirements and whatnot for what I use it for. My hardware is an older p4 with 3.5 gigs of ram, and a tyan transport GS12 1u server
I have a mediasonic 4 bay USB2/sata enclosure and I was using the USB port, freenas saw all the drives as separate drives, but unRAID will only see one (the first one) installed, and the GUI doesn't see it at all. How do I get unRAID to see all the drives? I see errors in dmesg about "killing requests for dead queues" when I plug it in.
Also when unRAID is all set up, does the drive array appear as one big volume like freenas? Or all as separate disks?
