  1. Hi everyone, This is my first NAS so I feel like a kid at Christmas. I'm using my old gaming PC as my default. Here are my specs: CPU: i7-6700k Motherboard: Asus Z170-A Ram: 32 GB (GSkill Ripshaws) Storage: WD Red 6TB NAS x5 (5400 RPM 6 GB/s 256MB cache) /// Samsung evo 970 500GB M.2 for cache drive PSU: Corsair RM750 I had two GTX 1070 (SLI) that I'm wondering if I should leave one of them in for transcoding and whatever else I might be able to use it for or get rid of them completely for power savings. I'll be using my NAS for the following(so far): Plex (3-4 devices at once max, maybe 1 transcode at a time, was also thinking of maybe using the RAM to help with transcoding??) Business storage (word documents, PDF etc) Personal Storage (Backups, photos etc.) VPN for network traffic Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. I also welcome any tips/tricks for a first timer! Thanks for your time.
