  1. I changed the all variable names that were conflicting ... I think ... and added update notifications, for the plugin, not btsync.  That lists the version on it's config page.

Clicking update should bring you current if you already downloaded the plugin.

You *may* need to disable and enable btsync to fix an issue with the config file.

    Feedback is encouraged.

Once people say it is working I will start a new thread for this plugin.

  2. I honestly don't know.

But maybe, I stole code from several other plugins and it may be that what I ended up with conflicts with those plugins.  So if you reload start with BTSync, and if that works add the other plugins.

If something breaks, then we know.  And I get to start renaming variables.

Has anyone else installed this?  Are any of you having issues?

A friend of mine installed it, and I know he has some plugins, but not those.

Also, just as a general question, what features would you (royal) like to see added?

  3. You have a bad copy of the plg.  :-[

For some reason Google Code gave you an old copy of the code that failed to delete the pid file

As far as I know that was fixed before I posted to this thread.

So if you update the plugin sooner or later you should get the version that doesn't have this bug.

A friend of mine was unable to replicate the issue, so I think that is what happened.

My experience is that drives will spin down normally.

Looking there is a bug that it won't start when the array is brought online.

As far as I can tell the updating code is working, so as I get time I will make some bug fixes and changes.

  4. Can you telnet in to you unraid box and check if /usr/local/sbin/btsync is on your system?

when you installed the plugin it *should* have pulled the install from amazon and put it there.

the link is to the btsync web server.  it opens on port 8888 on your unRaid server

also, if the file is not there, please click "update build"

if it is, please click "update plugin"

...there was a bug in an older build that on stopping it wouldn't clean up correctly.

but that shouldn't be on google code...

    And http://xkcd.com/1168/ is too true!

  5. Mine is a complete hack job. (hense v0.1)

(But then my Cruncyroll XBMC plugin, which is matinance of someone else's code, after a year, 30 releases and 23,000 users is only v0.6.5.1)

If you get your's done I would be willing to migrate the users of mine to your's

That is if you think it is needed.  Did you plan to add features?

  6. Ask, and nothing happens because I was working on this anyway.

I have a BTSync Plugin I am working on right now.

I am trying to work all the bugs out now

Attached is the alpha plg for btsync

It downloads and installs btsync from amazon.

The plg lets you updated the plg, update, start, stop, enable, and disable btsync

There is also a link to the BTsync web interface.

Testing has shown that setting remain after restarts and reinstalls.

    The Plugin:

[LINK REMOVED -- USE THE LINK IN THE POST BELOW]

#This Plugin installs and provides btsync support for unRAID.

#This plugin was shamelessly copied off of overbyrn's dropbox scrypt

#But I hacked the crap out of it, because btsync has a web interface

#If I am feeling whatever I may write an interface and use the local config

    #Breath holding not recommended

  7. Issue: Unable to assign drives in unRAID 5.0rc1 in VMware ESXi5 off virtual controllers.

In VMware ESXi5 launch unRAID 5.0rc1 with or without VMware tools.

Have a virtual HDD assigned to the unRAID VM

The HDD fails to show in unRAID with all but the virtual LSI Logic SAS SCSI Controller

In unRAID 5.0rc1 the drive shows, but will fail to assign to the array

In unRAID 4.7 the drive can be assigned to the array normally.

The only change I made was replacing 5.0rc1 on my USB key for 4.7

Is there something I should test?

Is there an error I should  try to replicate?

Is there a log file I need to find?

    Thanks in Advanced,

    Matt
