  1. Haven't touched or upgraded my unraid setup since my first build. Haven't even been back to the community. Should I be upgrading to the newest version? Am I missing anything? Or, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'.
  2. That totally worked! I went into Share Settings under Settings, and erased what was written in the 'Included disk(s)' space and left it blank. Now when I look at properties on my mapped share, it shows I now have a full 4 tb of space, 2 of which are used. Thanks so very much Johnathanm!
  3. no... i'll try that... Is that the 'refresh' button in the array status?
  4. On each of my share folders I had "Disk1, Disk2" in each "Included disk(s)" space. This should just be left blank? Tried it with them all blank, but no difference. When I look at properties on a mapped share, it shows only 2tb available as full... I should have the total of both drives (4tb). Don't know how to add the new drive to the array, so it increases the data 'pool'.
  5. Ive installed a new drive into my array. I can add files to the disk itself, but when I go to add files to the shares, it shows up as no more room. I have three drives in the array, all 2tb drives including one for the parity. I should have 4tb of space for my shares, but only have 2tb total for my shares. Can anyone help?
  6. Added an new 2tb drive to my 2x2tb array. When I installed it and did the parity check, it needed formatting, so did that. took all night. Now I see the drive in the array, and has a green ball, but is not being written to. The disk 2 (new) used space stays @ 2tb, while disk 1 keeps filling
  7. Is it so that the server runs very slow when a disk is over 90% full? How do I set a limit to the write capacity?
  8. There is nothing under "name" other than the option to add shares. As indicated in one of my previous posts. I cannot see any shares. I can only see the hard drives with a green ball in the control panel.
  9. I am also using the free version of unraid, FYI. And it is the ver. 5 beta
  10. I assume you are using SMB which is the native file sharing protocol for windows. Next, did you turn on SMB on BOTH the Settings page and in the settings for the share on the Share page? Click on the 'share name' to get to that portion of the page. Be sure that Export is set to "Yes" and the security is 'Public' on the SMB Security Settings. Now you gain access via the "Network" icon which should be on you desktop. If this icon is not present, open up Windows Explorer and click on Network. You should see the name of your unRAID server there. (The default name is "Tower".) Click on the server name and you should see your shares in a couple of seconds. Edit: Windows Explorer is NOT IE!!! Yes, SMB is turned on on the SMB settings page, and local master is set to yes. There is nothing listed on the "Share" page to alter. Just a button to "add Shares".
  11. I did disable the windows firewall, and disabled AVG (antivirus) as a trouble shooting attempt. to no avail.
  12. I can access the unRAID control panel by entering the IP into my IE browser, there I can see the hard drives, spin them up, etc. But when I try to access the shares via browser (\\IP), "windows cannot find \\IP. Please check spelling etc." A friend of mine came over with his macbook, and was able to access the server without issue.I also brought it over to another friends house running win7, and he was able to access without issue also. I am running Win7 Ultimate, with the latest unRAID version. I am hard wired for every connection. Router, server, computer. Any suggestions?
