As per the subject, I plan to change the motherboard currently in use on the configuration with unRAID from an Asus Hero VI X370 to a Gigabyte Aorus Master X570.
Currently there are 8 HDs connected, in Asus they are all connected to their sata ports, on the Gigabyte I will opt for a controller since it only has 6 integrated sata ports.
Do I risk losing the configuration of the array and also its data by making this change?
If I connect the disks, respecting the numerical order of the sata ports and in the same order as they were before in the unRAID array settings page, shouldn't I have any problems?
Has anyone been in the same situation as me?
I've seen other discussions here on the forum that cover this topic but none of them talk about using sata ports built into the motherboard and third party controller ports after switching motherbord.
Thank you in advance. Greetings.
