star-command-diagnostics-20231231-1628.zip
Out of sheer stupidity I initiated startx from terminal workspace 1 (alt+ctrl+f1) in an attempt to start the gui from command line only mode. Now when I attempt to boot into Unraid with GUI I get a blank screen on the default GUI workspace (ctrl+alt+f7) that never progresses to the GUI. If I switch to f8-f11 I get a black screen with a flashing cursor in left.
I do have a p4000 quadro installed as well as an Intel onboard GPU via my i9 processor. I'm assuming that when I initiated X11 that it switched somehow over to the P4000 video card but I'm not confident on that.
***Update: I've rebooted the server in safe mode with GUI and the local GUI is accessible there so it seems like a plugin is causing my grief. Whats the best way to track down with plugin is the culprit?***
Things I've tried:
- Moved my display port cable from onboard port to the P4000 (no output)
- Removed Intel_GPU_Top because of the known GUI issue and rebooted.
- tried to restart rc.4 and rc.4.local from GUI mode workspace 1
-
I've also tried to initiate the slim command locally which didn't load the GUI
-
added i915.conf to /boot/config/modprobe.d and rebooted
I'm looking for suggestions on what else to try. Has anyone else done something similar and been able to fix it or am I the only lucky one
Any help I can get would be appreciated.
I've added the anonymized diagnostics zip. Let me know if there is any other information that'd be helpful in figuring out this issue.
Thanks

Sign up at duckdns. I use myusername.duckdns.org for all sorts of stuff. There’s a Spacedinvader YouTube about setting up the duckdns Docker too that will keep that dynamic up updated with duckdns. Works great.
I do the same with cloudflare DDNS, wasn't sure if there was a way to accomplish it using a cloudflare SSL cert. Sounds like it isn't supported by minecraft yet

If you are talking about the control panel, perhaps reverse proxy?
If you are talking about the game port itself, 25565, it doesn't talk using plain http, so a web proxy won't work.
What communication stream are you trying to secure?
I really just want to obscure my wan IP and be able to give my nephews a URL to connect to my server (i.e minecraft.somedomain.com)

Has anybody figured out a way to add a Cloudflare SSL cert to this Minecraft container for purposes of proxying the external facing IP? Is so how did you accomplish it? If it cannot be done this way than what are the best practices for securing an external facing Minecraft server?

I have a suggestion for an additional feature. Is it possible to get a log or progress bar so we can keep track of how the downloads are going?

For anyone having issues setting up unbound on Unraid here is a pretty good tutorial that I followed:
It is using a different docker repo but it's easy to setup and works flawlessly

here is a guide for setting up Binhex's minecraft container
In addition to what I say in this video
It actually isn't necessary to use an SRV record to have the connection as minecraft will by default try port 25565 by default. But using an SRV I think is still a good idea especially if you want to use a 'non standard' port for minecraft. Then when using a non standard port you dont have to set the port in the minecraft client. I think it is better not to use the common port for the minecraft server and use an unknown port as this potentially is more secure.
Also if you only want people you know to be able to access the server then edit the server properties config file and change whitelist to true. Restart container then Adding and removing players to the accesslist
1. Open webui on the container to see the console.
2. In the console, you will need to type “whitelist add playername”. For example, “whitelist add spaceinvaderone”.
3. After you type this command, you will see a message stating “player added to whitelist”.
4. to remove type “whitelist remove playername”
Does the non standard port for the container need to match the SRV record port on cloudflare?

Is there anyway to setup this container to utilize cloudflare proxied IPs? I want to setup expose this to the internet but I want it accessible through Minecraft.domain.com and not my home IP

Is anyone having issues setting up radarr with nzbhydra? I was able to setup lidarr and sonarr just fine but when I try to save my radarr setup I am getting this error:
Error: The requested operation requires an element of type 'Number', but the target element has type 'String'. Unexpected error: Radarrv3 returned error message: The requested operation requires an element of type 'Number', but the target element has type 'String'.
I am assuming from the error that my categories in radarr are wrong. I have tried to add a category 2000 in radarr but that didn't help. Does anyone know what the proper categories to use with Radarr and hydra2 are?
Thanks in advanced

I'm unable to access the webgui and my other dockers are unable to communicate with my Hydra2 instance. It shows running in Unraid, however the log shows...

Suggestions?
What do you have set for network in the docker container? If you right click on the container does it show webui as an option? If network is set to none it wont populate the option to launch the webui and that would explain why your other containers cannot connect to hydra

Due to some constraints I built my unraid server without a parity drive. I just got purchased 2 new drives and now I want to install them and make 1 a parity drive. All of my server bays were previously full so I was unable to integrate the drives into the array without replacing them first. How do I integrate these new drives into the array without an existing parity drive? Is this possible to do or am I stuck rebuilding with a new configuration?
The 2 newly installed drives are currently running through the pre-clear process.

Hello all.
This is going to be a pain to work out what's wrong. But I am bashing my head on a brick wall.
No matter how a try. I just can not get a "Windows 10 Thin Client of Deluge GUI" to connect to my "binhex-deluge" install on my Unraid server.
I am able to connect using the web interface. And in the settings I have ticked the check box that says "Allow Remote connections"

If you are using version 1.3.5 of deluge for Windows 10 the it wont work. You need to go to here to download the unofficial deluge 2.0 installer in order for it to work.

How would I run this container together with Krusdader with them being on the same port? I tried to specify a different port before I installed makeMKV but when I open the MKV UI I get greeted with the krusader screen.

No the latest version on windows is 2.0.4dev38. You are correct that the official installer for windows is not available, but it has been possible to build it yourself from the start. So the good people at the deluge forums has created an unofficial installer for those who can't build it themselves. You can find it here: https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=55776&p=232351#p23235
That's awesome, thanks for the help. I have it working now!

This is correct. But why can't you install to 2.0.4? Do you need 1.3.15 for a specific reason?
I'm on winblows, as far as I can tell 1.3.15 is the latest version available.

Why not? I'm using 2.0.4dev38 thin client on windows, works fine
Sorry if it wasn't clear on my post. From what I've read and experienced you cannot use deluge for windows v1.3.15 to remote connect to deluge 2.x which is what the delugevpn container runs. Hopefully I am wrong in this and I am just change a config somewhere

I am having an issue. I am running deluge 1.3.15 for windows on my local client and binhex-delugevpn container on unraid. I am trying to figure out a way to create torrents to and direct them to my container. How are people accomplishing this if 1.3.15 and 2.0 versions aren't compatible for remote setup?
