    I also tried with odoo and it's probably the hardest app to selfhost that i ever tried. I once managed to let it work, but then after an upgrade it broke and i never managed to let it work again. I wonder if it's intentional to let people to subscribe to the cloud service (which is completely unaffordable for small business like me)

    It is so so fustrating becuase it is such an amazing software. I hope someone comes up on this thread that can walk us through it.

    I don't know if this "the right way", but I got to the odoo webUI doing the following. Hopefully it is helpful to you or someone else, and it's here for me when I need it later ^^;

    Reference per @Thomasg - "Used the sauce from : https://registry.hub.docker.com/_/odoo/"

    Firstly, install PostgreSQL 15 via your unRAID Apps and set as follows...

    Name  - db    <---- per the reference "The alias of the container running Postgres must be db for Odoo to be able to connect to the Postgres server."

    POSTGRES_PASSWORD: Set a password you think is strong, I used a 16 chars alphanumeric from a rnd generator
    POSTGRES_USER: odoo
    POSTGRES_DB: postgres

    Next, install the Odoo15 from your unRAID Apps and set as follows...

    Addons: /mnt/cache/appdata/odoo/extra-addons  <--changed these to /mnt/cache/appdata/   to hopefully keep it all in an easy to find/use space.
    Configuration: /mnt/cache/appdata/odoo/config  <--changed these to /mnt/cache/appdata/    to hopefully keep it all in an easy to find/use space.
    DB Username: odoo
    Database Password: Previously entered strong password from above
    Database URL: your unRAID server IP

    And that seems to have worked for me. Hope it helps o/

    For the life of me I just do not understand what I am doing wrong. I followed all steps but no GUI logs say "grep: /etc/odoo/odoo.conf: No such file or directory"

    Im I supposed to somehting additional from "Reference per @Thomasg - "Used the sauce from : https://registry.hub.docker.com/_/odoo/"

    Please any help would really be welcomed I am really really lost in the weeds here.

    Thanks,

    Yes I used the https:// and the GUi times out

    I ran diagnostics and it created the zip file but I do not know what command to run so it uploads to flash drive, I am sorry for my stupid questions.

  7. Hi,

    My unraid server just runs so sometimes I dont go in the dashboard for months at a time.

    Yesterday I added a MikroTik RB2011UiAS-RM Routerboard to my rack setup.

    After testing everything it all seemed great Plex and Jellifyn was working and I was happy. The MikroTik is currently at default settings which are meant to not mess anything else up so I have yet made any changes.

    Well I tried login in to the dashboard and the gui would not come up so I did a restart from the terminal and now Plex and Jellyfin are not connecting either.

    So the only access I have is the terminal.

    So because I have not logged in for over a month i dont know if this is related to the router or there was something wrong before and I just did not know and once I rebooted and it made it worst.

    Please any help would be really appreciated I am not knowledgable i just follows videos like SpaceInvader to do things. When something goes wrong I usually find forum threads with similar issues and I follow the fixes suggested and most of the time it works.

    This time I dont know where to even start trying to figure out what is wrong.

    Thanks,

    Vic

  8. I dont know what I am doing wrong but I can not get the docker to install I am getting the following.

    Correct, go to Apps tab type Wordpress and set it up from there. You do not need Nginx separately.

    Dear Lord I needed you about 4AM last night!!!!!!

    Thank You So Much!!!!!!

    it took me less than 5 minutes to get everything working!!

    I love this community because of people like you.

    Wordpress template?

    What do you mean by this?

    Settings - Permalinks and set it however you want from there.

    Yup just like any other Wordpress Install and nothing it breaks the site.

    nginx by default does not work with Wordpress permalinks as you can see they have made a special wiki on configuration Nginx Wordpress Config the problem is that this differs by the type of setup hence a windows machine a debian detup etc etc or as us inside the docker.

    So I really do not know how your Nginx install accepted permalinks of the bat.

    So any help appreciated.

    For pretty permalinks, I had to add this to the nginx/wordpress container's site-config:

            if (!-e $request_filename) {
                    rewrite ^.*$ /index.php last;
            }

    I installed the container uploaded wordpress to appdata/nginx/www/

    I opened from Unraid Docker link and got the Wordpress Setup I connected the MariaDB and it went flawless.

    After testing pretty much everything is working for my needs except one thing. Permalinks

    I have tried and tried what ever I find on the web but for the life of me nothing works even the instructions do not match what I see on my appdata/nginx/nginx/nginx.conf

    Where exactly do I add:

           if (!-e $request_filename) {
                    rewrite ^.*$ /index.php last;
            }

    I have a really basic setup of linuxserver/mariadb with linuxserver/nginx and wordpress 5.8 install with the Woffice - Intranet/Extranet WordPress Theme from Themeforest. The only thing I need is to have permalinks works so I can use BuddyPress

    I am not looking for reverse proxy or anything fancy.

    All I am looking to do is to have a family portal from my unraid server that is accessed locally from inside of our home.

    Please any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Looks like the server is down. If I point my browser to 94-1-us.cg-dialup.net I get a can’t be found error. Is Sab using the same server?

    Thanks!!!!

    Dear lord after a year of Unraid I think I just started to understand reading the logs at 53 it takes a bit longer for me to understand things lol.

    So I checked and no sab was using another server so I just setup new provider files with another server and immediately came back up.

    Again Thank You So Much!

  15. Deluge had been working great. Today suddenly the downloads stopped so I restarted the container. Since I can not access the GUI.

    I have attached what I beleive is the log.

    Appreciate someone pointing me the right direction.

    Thanks,
