Hey @trurl Ran into an issue with my new server , HBA card is not detecting my Diskshelf/drives, started a new post. was so excited about getting the new server setup and actually have a proper enclosure to store my drives.

HI Guys, Dont know if someone has some insights on the problem I'm having, I was super excited about setting up my new Unraid server (even made a post about the best way to migrate) Ive read through multiple posts and found even an amazing guide My goal was to have a similar setup to the shared link, as I was gifted the exact same DS (2 *24bay) and really only wanted to use 1. I ordered a LSI 9207-8E pre flashed to IT mode off of ebay and a QSFP to MiniSAS(SFF-8088) DDR Cable to connect the DS to the HBA card. Now this the problem, the diskshelf powers on fine and all HDD caddy's lights turn green. The HBA card detects in the system and shows up but does not list any drives, and unraid does not see any drives I at least think Unraid sees the HBA card as when I have a look in devices the SASLSI card is listed in PCI Devices (No IOMMU Groups Available) but not under the SCSI devices. Im also running unraid with a fresh new USB in trial mode. Ive tried the HBA card in multiple systems and in my working server and same thing no drives are detected, there is also a blinking green light on the card. Ive connected the cables on the disk shelf in the following way -HBA - Square port on Disk shelf -HBA - Square port and used a daisy chain cable from the Circle port to the square port on the bottom level of the shelf -HBA - to circle port just incase I forgot what my shapes are. I don't know if its the card , cable or shelf that's the issue. (Shelf s were working before they were decommissioned) Any thoughts

Hi Everyone, Wanted to get your guys opinion or advise on the best course of action. I will be setting up a new server with new drives, whats the best way to move my data and setting, couple of questions that I do have is Do I download and make a new usb as a trial to setup the new server? than copy data via network once array is setup? is there a way to move over or copy the settings for my dockers I also have a cache drive and one Unassigned drive which I use as a temp file storage can I move those over as well? once everything is over do I use backup the config, swap to the old usb on the new server and restore the config? Sorry for sounding extremely dumb for reference my current and future server Current, PC 24 drives using 2 raid cards and internal sata ports will move to PC (temp) with HBA card which will connect a diskshelf that has 48 bay (will be populated but not used) hba card will connect to disk shelf via QSFP+ SFF-8436 to MiniSAS SFF-8088 cable Thanks for any and all help

Just tried that and same issue, Gui loads but get no localhost, can ping and ssh into it but cant remote into web portal will try making a trial usb and see if I can at least get the gui going and narrow down if its a config issue.

let me see if I can get it going under UEFI only

HI Everyone, Im having a very strange issue going on, I want to preface this post by first mentioning that my server is super "clunky" and super ghetto and what I mean by that is that I used older drives and I know some of them were very flaky, Ive kinda limped along for over a year, for my personal stuff, and everything has been working relatively well. I had some minor docker issue in the beginning but for the most part, Unraid has been a breeze to use even from the first boot up. Now back to the story, Normally I have notifications setup and it will inform me if anything is bad with the server, normally its SMART does not like a drive but overall the array would pass. about a month ago I had gotten a few notifications that my array had failed, it said a drive was missing, I logged into the server and shut it down, thinking "Ill deal with this later" after a day or so powered it up and it said that array was offline due to another failed/missing drive, at that point I shutdown again and figured that its time for something new. During this entire time the server has been shutdown completely. Ive been slowly getting the parts for a new server and I and got some older drives just to get my old server up so I could copy data over to the new server. I powered up the server to see which drives to replace but I couldn't remote in, on my computer I would get "unable to connect" or "connection refused". So with that I went to the server and connected a monitor and rebooted the server again to see if I can get a gui on the monitor. What would happen is that it would start to load the GUI and get to a part where it would just blink a cursor in the top left corner. From there I started reading about others that had the issue and I tried the following. can ping server ensure bios is set to legacy tried command line mode -worked for the most part , I didnt really know what to do from there suggestions I found was to backup the config folder of the usb and remake it rebuilt usb and copied config folder was able to get gui going locally but after login it would load a webrowser to load up "localhost" and it would say unable to connect tried safemode with GUI and same thing I can SSH from my laptop into server the only other thing that had changed during this time period, was my router got changed, all settings stayed the same. I have a windows server that was offline during this time period as well and brought it up and everything connected with it right away, so network wise it seems things are fine. Im kinda lost now Thanks for any help or suggestions

Chaz Hey Thanks for getting back to me So strange is that I deleted the QBtorrent docker and template remade it and used a different container "data" instead of "download" and it worked for a day and then the same problem of not finding it while manual import works. Ill try what you suggested and even switch to deluge, will keep you posted on my findings. thanks again

HI Chaz, Sure thing they are on the same host and below/attached is the screen shots for the remote path mappings, this was working as well before whatever happened. Please let me know if there is anything else you would like me to share or do. Thanks again
