[Kernel Crashes]

I've got daily kernel crashes since going to 6.12. Currently downgraded to v6.11.5.

[Adding s 2nd Parity Drive to my array]

so i have 3 cages of 4 slots. 12 slots total. 1 parity x 11 drive data. 

i want to add a 2nd parity drive. so itll be 2 parity x 10 data.

i will be replacing the smallest data with the 2nd parity to take its slot.

 

what will be the best way to add the second parity drive??

i migrated from letsencrypt to swag. didnt change anything in config.

4 subdomain address airsonic, plex, tautulli, nextcloud all working just fine

 

5 subdomain address sonarr, 4kradarr, radarr, transmission, nzbget all come back with "file not found."

dont know whats going on with these

not sure what happened overnight but my boot drive dropped and webgui is unresponsive. this bash script has me looking at my parity check status. will reboot server once it finishes up. thanks for the write up!

my new build was unstable which was causing the issues.

but back up and restore was about and a little over an hour each once i took care of my system.

UPDATE:

 

i believe incompatible memory sticks were the issue.

new memory sticks are in and system has been stable for 16 hrs now.

It wasn't until I was running all four sticks is where I had an issue.

 

I was very skeptical when ASRock told me to get new memory, but it hasn't crashed since my original post.

 

actually i looked at my mobo qvl and my ram sticks arent listed. so i went ahead and placed an order on specific sticks that work with it and amd. hoping that clears up the issue. thanks for your input. i wouldnt have thought about that lol

UPDATE:

 

checked my mobo qvl and ram sticks arent listed. not sure if thats the issue but to be safe i ordered a different set that is meant to run on ryzen x570 boards. will update once it arrives. for now ill just keep rebooting as needed

I was running 4 DIMMs. 2 of them I purchased in 2017. I purchased 2 more in 2018. It ran fine for a year until I had the issues.

 

Strange thing was, testing each stick individually with Memtest would work. If I put all four DIMMs in there, it would fail.

 

I contacted my motherboard manufacturer (ASRock) and they said even though I had the EXACT same part number for memory in all four slots, they said it’s because I didn’t buy the memory all together is why I had the problem.

 

I ordered new memory and my server hasn’t crashed at all.

 

Update your BIOS and try different memory if you have it.

 bios is updated to latest and memory was bought at the same time. 4x16gb sticks. the most ive had it run was about 6 hrs before it completely hanged and needed reboot. ive done all the tweaks to bios and config files but still cant get away from it. ill try removing the sticks and see where that gets me.

system was up for a good time now. was able to put everything back in place before it locked up.

i have no gui/network access to it but dockers are still running just fine though. currently watching a movie.

Anyway, I am not sure this relate or not, but you should disable it.

 

went ahead and set typical idle current and changed sata ports from raid mode to ahci mode.

thank you for that. set ram to stock setting and im still getting lockups/crashes. it happens when trying to restore my appdata or copy a directory.

It is impossible running that speed in 1.2v, normal is 1.35v.

  i just chose the set profile/xmp for it. ill try running it without out it.

keep running into this error. have gonne through several reboots trying to get my appdata back.

diagnostics is attached. any info will be greatly appreciated!

update:

restore stops 20gb in out of 90gb tar file but plugins says restore was completed and completed succesfully.
