  1. This the second part of the log. Hope someone can tell me how to fix this. syslog-2012-10-07_2.txt
  2. I had a 2T drive failed. So I replaced it with a 3T Drive. The New 3T drive was precleared with another server as my main server cannot preclear any disk greater than 2T, because the Gdisk function dose not work. I have used 5 different 3T drives and after rebuilding I still get the reball. I attach the log for the last disk that I have tried. On all the drives I get this Oct 7 20:59:00 Tower kernel: sda1: rw=1, want=4294967296, limit=4294967295 (Drive related) Oct 7 20:59:00 Tower kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device Oct 7 20:59:00 Tower kernel: sda1: rw=1, want=4294967304, limit=4294967295 (Drive related) How can I increase the blocks. or is there a way to fix this. This happened to all my 5 3T disk that I have tried. These 5 disk I can mount and format them in the spare server with no problem. I also tried to relpace the failed 2T disk with a new 2T disk but the server says the drive was too small. I a m running unRAID Server Pro version: 5.0-rc6-r8168-test2 Can I just yank the drive out. I have transferred all the data out to another disk outside of the server. syslog-2012-10-07_1.txt
  3. Finally my 3T parity disk was mounted with no errors. I followed this thread http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=22265.0 by Hoopster and thanks to Joe. My usb boot stick had the same problem like Hoopster the gdisk does not work. I have to install unRaid on a new usb stick and use it to preclear my 3T drive. I tried to rename this thread "Solved" but I don't know how to do it. Can a Mod please do it for me thanks
  4. Thanks everyone for helping out. I think my troubles with the 3T drives is with my motherboard. I do not think that it supports 3T drives in an unRaid server. I will be changing the motherboard. Can anyone please let me know if this mother board support 3T drives in an unRaid server, ASRock B75 PRO3-M LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157329&RandomID=338509923310224720120923025359 Thanks.

Started Stop will take the array off-line. Parity-Check in progress. Cancel will stop the Parity-Check. Correct any Parity-Check errors by writing the Parity disk with corrected parity. Total size: 3 TB Current position: 56.17 GB (2%) Estimated speed: 104.95 MB/sec Estimated finish: 468 minutes Sync errors corrected: 193 I did preclear the disk and it was ok.
