    New Build

I can vouch for the Motherboard. I built my server on that same board and have had no issues, everything worked out of the box. See signature for complete specs
  2. I recently built my first Unraid server using an Asus P8B75-M LE Motherboard and everything has worked flawlessly for the month or so it's been running. Full system specs in my signature.
  3. Hi, I recently built a new unraid server using 2 brand new WD30EZRX (1 parity, 1 data) and an existing Hitachi 2TB drive i had used previously in my HTPC. I have attached smart reports from the 2 EZRX drives the LCC are slightly higher than power on, but i'm not certain if these are acceptable numbers or a should they be lower than the power on. Can anyone advise. I have installed the Gcc tools and compiled the idle3-tools that tucansam sugested a few posts back and the current setting on both drives is as follows using command idle3ctl -g /dev/sdx "Idle3 timer set to 80 (0x50)" Default command using command idle3ctl -g105 /dev/sdx "Idle3 timer set to 8.0s (0x50)" Command to format output in same format as WDidle v1.05 I haven't made any changes yet since i'm not certain if my drives have an issue. Just looking for any advise or input on wether or not i need to make any changes and what changes should be made if needed. 7. Those usb cables can either be plugged into the rear panel usb ports, or you will need a motherboard header adapter along the lines of THIS to plug them into. As for the additional power connectors, it would appear that you need 2 4pin molex power connections for each 5-3 bay. It looks like your power supply has 6 of these connectors so you should be ok for up to 3 bays (unless u need some for other devices) If you need more you can get splitters, or if you have unused sata power connectors you can get sata-molex adapters. Not real sure about the 4 wires from drive bay, but i suspect they are fan power/monitoring and it would depend on the motherboard if it has fan headers available, and some motherboards will have 3 pin fan headers and some newer ones will have 4 pin fan headers. Fan pinouts are as follows 1 - GND 2 - 12VDC 3 - Sense (senses the fan speed) 4 - control (if available allows motherboard to control fan speed) Do any of those wires have any label/markings as such? **Edit** Actually found reference to a CBL-0057 in a manual for a supermicro AOC-SAT2-MV8 sata raid card. But the connector it referenced is a 10 pin connector. So i'm not sure what to say.
