  1. Hi all in Unraid land I've set up an Unraid system but I'm having issues asccessing files from it on my windows 10 machine - specifically the time it takes to navigate through folders and open files It can take 30 or 40 seconds or even longer just to open a folder - I'm runnimg with 10GB nic also I've stoped my drives sleeping as i thought that might be the cause I also have a Truenas server - that operates so much quicker. If I copy files from the WIN10 machine to the Unraid machine they copy between 2 and 300 mb/sec Any advice would be appreciated Ian
  2. Hi Falconexe - I've resolved found an error in the telegraf.conf file - when fixed al was sorted Thanks for coming back
  3. Ive installed IPMI tools separately from community applications and that can see the data - just not sure why its not getting dragged into Grafana ?
  4. I've seen dashboards with temp, power, fan speed etc taken direct from iDRAC in Grafana - I assumed this detail was needed in the telegraf.conf file
  5. I believe it gets installed through the post argument comments - ipmitools is included in the command
  6. Hi probably being dumb so apologies - set up and most of the dashboard is working except IPMI I've gone through the instructions, added alpine, post argument comments etc - added server details for my idrac to get the info but no data My server is a dell R720 with iDRAC enterprise - any ideas anyone ?
  7. Hopefully I'm asking this question in the right place I want to run a script that will run rsync via SSH to backup Unraid shares to another server. I want this to run without the need for manual intervention adding a password etc I have done some investigation and I can see using sshpass might be possible - can this be added to my Unraid server ? Thanks in advanced
  8. Can someone help please ..... lots of people reading but no response ?
  9. Hi - still new to Unraid but enjoying the using the system - I want to backup my shares to another server (Truenas) - I have mounted the smb shares which will be the destination drives using unassigned devices I thought I might be able to use something like luckybackup to complete this task but cant figure out how to specify the mounted shares as the destination Is this the right way to go and if so how can I specify the destination ? Thanks in advance

Hi My system was fine until last week - the first thing i noticed was the VM tab disappeared then red warnings of USB failure System is back up but not ok - VM tab did not come back, installations like PLEX lost their link to the install I deleted the old damaged elements but items such as plex wont re-install - fails on install Any help would be hugely appreciated Monty server1-diagnostics-20201215-1218.zip
  14. Server is back up but set up is lost - disks are ok which is the main. VM's have gone, dicker containers have lost connection if thats the right description with the installed detail and access to the shares wont work I've recreated the users but still wont allow access - if I create a new share that works but the originals dont - any thoughts ?
  15. Looks like the config folder is in tact - is it as simple as replacing the new with the old folder and then booting the server ? Thanks
  16. Would copying the disk.cfg into the new flash config folder help ?
  17. Hi Thanks for the response - just scanning the failed flash drive with some recovery software - I cant see a folder called config but it is showing a number of cfg files including disk.cfg Can these be used if recoverable ? Thanks
  18. My system is only a few weeks old as was the flash drive - unfortunately it has failed and I didn't generate a backup I need to understand how to get my array back without losing data - any help will be hugely appreciated I wont make this mistake again
  19. Hi - hopefully my issue with regards to moving files will be sorted on here - I have a NAS with a 10GB connection and an R720 with unraid newly installed also with a 10GB connection What is the best way to move files from the NAS to my shares utilising the best speed - at the moment I am copying files utilising Unbuntu in a VM but only managing speeds of 500Mbps and it taking an eternity to move my media collection Any help will be hugely appreciated
  20. Hi all Firstly I apologise if the following question is a little dumb - new to servers and unraid so learning as I go I have added an MD1000 to my home set up and as expected the drives are unassigned - however, the status of the drives fall into two groups The first group have a grey format button that can't be pressed - I resolved this one by changing settings to destructive - one sorted The other is just one drive formatted in xfs and has the mount button as the other did but it fails to mount - how do I go about resolving this ? Thanks in advance
