  1. I am running the latest version of unraid and a Windows 10 VM. I have a Nvidia GTX 1080 card passed through successfully (both the video and audio portions of the card with multifunction='on'). I have a second audio source passed through which is a Soundblaster Audigy FX PCIe card. The card is part of an IOMMU group along with a PCIe dual gigabit lan card and 2 separate PCI bridges. I have both the network card and the audio card isolated using the vfio-pci.ids argument in the syslinux configuration section. In my VM config both network ports show up as separated and the soundcard is in the drop down menu. I have the first audio source in the VM as the Nvidia audio card and the second as the soundblaster. The first issue I have noticed is the card is not correctly identified in unraid. The Soundblaster Audigy FX card is listed as: [1102:0012] 01:00.0 Audio device: Creative Labs Sound Core3D [Sound Blaster Recon3D / Z-Series] (rev 01) In my Windows 10 VM the Device Manager shows the card as "Sound Blaster Audio Controller". The control panel settings for sound and audio devices does not show the soundblaster card as an option. The Sound Blaster Audigy FX Control Panel gives two error messages: "The current selected audio source is disabled, not present, not supported by the application, or has unplugged jack connections." and when I click on the Audio Device Selection option in the menu: " There is no supported audio device available." I do not have the PCIe ACS override patch enabled as I have had no issues with any PCIe passthrough until now. I suspect that the linux modprobe (or whatever redhat uses) has loaded the wrong drivers for the soundcard and is passing through an incorrectly identified device. So Windows is trying to install drivers for a card that is, as far as Windows knows, not the right card. Does anyone have any experience with hardware driver manipulation in unraid and could provide some advice? Am I even on the right track here? The only reason I purchased the soundblaster card is because everything I've read about my onboard sound (Intel Corporation 200 Series PCH HD Audio) says that you can't get that passthrough to work. My system is as follows: Motherboard: MSI - Z270 GAMING M6 AC (MS-7A78) Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 1080 Gaming X Audio: Soundblaster Audigy FX The only other things I have passed through are my Corsair Lighting Node Pro, Corsair H100i AIO cooler, a Corsair keyboard and mouse (yes I'm a Corsair brand whore lol), and a PCIe 4 port USB card with a VIA Technologies chip. In addition to the so-called "Sound Blaster Audio Controller", Device Manager also shows "CORSAIR VOID ELITE Wireless Gaming Headset" (which works without issue. The wireless USB dongle is plugged into the passed through PCIe USB card), and "NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)". However, only the Corsair wireless headset shows up as a viable option in the control panel sound settings. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. UPDATE: It started working. For literally no reason. I rebooted (not the first time since I installed the card) for something unrelated and the damn thing just started working for no reason whatsoever.
