  1. Thanks. I confirmed that I pulled the wrong disk. Unraid is awesome. I'm saddened that I have to start replacing drives soon since it's only a matter of time before they all start to go. That said, I think I got the right drive now and it says I have two drives to choose from. My setup has been running pretty much by itself since 2009, so I barely remember what I did. I guess I might have an extra drive in there that I never configured... Mark
  2. I have a data drive that has been reporting errors for a while so I decided to replace it. I used the instructions at http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Replacing_a_Data_Drive The drive I replaced the old drive with is an identical drive (same batch from several years ago). Fresh out of the sealed static bag. When I go into unraid after the reboot, Unraid reports the parity is missing. Now maybe I pulled the parity drive? I figured out my drive slot by going to the mount point and doing an ls -Rl and watching for disk activity. I didn't see any other active drives when I did this and I assumed a ls -Rl wouldn't affect the parity drive. The pull-down for the parity drive reports two drives that aren't the same as the one that is missing. So, I did replace the wrong drive... correct? What did I do wrong?
  3. A piece of plywood and a 5" hole saw and you're good to go. And just go ahead and get 2x the 8 port APC-SASLP-MV8 with cables...
  4. Pretty slow to ship - Apr 12th is my predicted date. Hopefully, they're overly negative on ship and availability timeframe.
  5. Mine shipped today (I have a tracking number at least). What cable does one need with the Norco 4220 since it has SAS ports already?
  6. Subscriber price is $149. They may be changing the price after selling a couple at the 139 price, but this is the second time I have seen this deal come up and it's shown as 149 when it was all said and done.
  7. Not sure what the magic is for $139 - only able to get it to 149.99 ($10 off 159), but still not a bad deal.
  8. So, is the 1/4" plywood version a fire hazard? I'm sure there is always a chance you could cause a fire, but it sure is a lot cheaper if you have a hole saw, some screws, and 10 minutes. Of course, unless you sell a boatload of them, I'm not sure I'd go through the trouble to sell it for less than $65 either. That said, it's always nice to have options.
  9. Note that the price is in-store only and in the store it's priced at $179 (at least in the store I visited today). I called them this evening and they said it was priced at $149, but this pricing was not visible in the store.
  10. Mine showed up quickly (Fedex ground). The outer box was beat to hell. The inner box is okay. Haven't cracked it open to see if the motherboard is okay. Not overly comforting. Bought the CPU and power supply locally. Now just need the Norco, memory, storage and a pro license .
  11. Buy.com (not my first choice usually) claims to have them in stock as of this posting (just picked up one)
  12. So, with the short time line on a reasonably good deal on the Seagate 2TB drives... Is anyone using the 2TB Seagate with unRAID happily or not so happily? All I have read are the reports on the issues with the 1.5GB Seagates. Thanks, Mark
