  1. So as the title says, now that Unraid natively supports zfs i have two pools set up. neither of which will mount at boot. I did set a user scripts to mount each one individually at array start, but this obviously isnt quick enough for unraid as i use one of the pools for the storage of my docker containers and libvirt image, so both docker and vm fail to start giving path errors (Obviously doesnt exists until i manually mount the two pools) So is there a way for unraid to natively mount these pools (Without destroying them and recreating them, have over 8TB of data that i just cba to move around again).
  2. So quick one. Ive set up a VM (Ubuntu Server) used virtio-net (and just virtio) as networking and selected Br0 (This is set up on unraids networking settings) but i have no connectivity. Troublshooting using dhclient shows the discover go out to the network, checking my firewall i can see the request and the reply being senbt back, but the vm fails to obtain an ip. I passed through a network port and that worked straight away, switched back tothe virtual net and nothing (Tried all the virtual nics) if however i change to virbr0 i get connectivity, although this is nat'd and thats not what i need. So what else can i do with regards to br0. Side note, dockers work using br0.(Vlan number here) but using one of the br0.(vlans) on the vm still results in no connectivity. (have tried deleting network.cfg and re-setting up networking. still nothing. Unraids on 6.12.4
  3. That bit of advice is appreciated, i have since changed all my ip/subnets to stay within the realms of the private ip space. However the issue still persists, when the direct link is used, unraid and dockers loose conectivity.
  4. So, Homelab use, but i use vlans, segregate everything i can. So i have my main vlan (10) and the rest trunked to unraid on a 10g link. its set native to 10 as i found unraid doesnt play nice with networking for eth0 with the use of vlans, so (10) comes in natively and anything else can access the other vlans perfectly fine, sorted! I aquired a couple of 40g NIC's, ones in my main PC and the other in unraid, both are set to ethernet mode, and both work! i gave them both a unique ip 14.1.1.11 and 14.1.1.10. i can use each others ip to ping each other and even transfer files. did a speed test and again very happy. so that was set to eth2. left eth0 as main connection for unraid to the lans and wan. Now the proplem, when this was set like this all outgoing traffic from unraid was going via the 14.1.1.10 ip address and not the 12.1.1.10 set for the vlan/lan. Once the faster direct link was disconnected unraid behaved again, but id really like the faster link for a direct link between pc and unraid as it makes file management so much quicker. Is there something i should be looking for in the configuration of this link? I did some checking and unraid was using the 14.1.1.10 ip address on the vlan. i made sure not to use a default gateway on th2 (direct link) as i am under the impression the use of a gateway will make it a lan connection, take away the gateway and itll be treated as direct? But yeah, how do i do a direct link between unraid and the pc with this faster link whilst maintaining the lan for docker/vms/unraid etc. Side note both unraid and pc are connected to the same lan/vlan but i am blocking traffic between the two using the switch.
