  1. Interesting, everything in the webGUI was still showing that I was running 6.0.1. Anyway, definitely looks like something was corrupted/incomplete about the upgrade I ran. I wiped the drive and re-installed from a downloaded zip of 6.0.1 and all seems to be functional now. Thanks for the help!
  2. What tells you I'm running 6.1? Everything I can see tells me I'm running 6.0.1 just like the OP. I updated it from one of the 6.0betas last week through the webgui built-in updater. But sure, I'll go ahead and re-create the flash and see if anything changes.
  3. Still no-go. I did what you suggested and as soon as I plugged it in to my Windows PC it did say that there were errors and repair them. However, upon booting up unRaid again I see no change from before. The log button still just pops up the same error (sh: /webGui/scripts/tail_log: No such file or directory) and trying to create a new docker image still does nothing as far as I can tell. I opened up the log from Tools>System Log and see the following lines at the end of it. Aug 22 21:01:29 Tiriage emhttp: Starting Docker... Aug 22 21:01:29 Tiriage logger: /usr/bin/docker not enabled Aug 22 21:01:30 Tiriage avahi-daemon[1751]: Server startup complete. Host name is Tiriage.local. Local service cookie is 3994860686. 4. This sounds almost exactly like the problem I've been having. Main difference is that I seem to have a second problem piled on top of it, which is that when I click on the "Log" button in the webgui it just returns this error: "sh: /webGui/scripts/tail_log: No such file or directory" so I don't even have that to debug with. What did you do to figure this out? I've tried changing the size of the docker image as well as sticking it in different spots, though I'm mainly just trying to stick it in /mnt/cache/docker.img Also, anyone reading this know why I'm not seeing my logs?
  5. I've got 5 hdds in my system (1 parity, 3 in array, 1 cache). That to me means that I should have Slots = 4 and my cache drive designated on the Cache Devices tab. However, the UI will not let me say that I have any fewer than 5 slots, and insists on showing me disk4 as unassigned (see attached screenshot). Well of course it's unassigned, I don't have another disk to fill that spot in the array! Anybody know why I can't set Slots = 4 and have a happy array? As it is now, it seems like the system is working correctly in terms of writes going to the cache drive, the files being moved correctly later, and reads everything else being generally functional, but the glaring red ball and the fact that it says "Data is invalid" and Data 4 is marked as faulty on the Dashboard page is a bit distressing. Running 6.0b12. Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. I got a little impatient and decided to just try it out before I got any responses here. I successfully installed v6.1-b12 simply by going through my flash and deleting the "plugins" folders I found there (I backed up everything on the flash first, of course) and replacing bzimage and bzroot with the new versions. I also got the Plex server to work in docker by following Dmtalon's instructions here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=35531.0 So far so good, hopefully it'll all keep humming along. Thanks, guys!
  7. What's the current protocol for upgrading from 5.0.5 to 6? Do I only need to copy over the new bzimage and bzroot, or are there other files that need to be copied/deleted and things that need to be recorded? My apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, I haven't been able to find a summary of this anywhere. Thanks in advance!
  8. All SATA (and other) cables appear to be fine and firmly connected, and all 4 of my disc drives are recognized and displayed in BIOS.
  9. My mobo doesn't have an option for USB drive emulation. I currently have the USB controller enabled and support for USB keyboard/mouse disabled. For Boot Sequence, I have 1st/2nd/3rd Boot Devices disabled, "Boot From Other Device" enabled, and the "Other Device" is specified as 1st priority USB-HDD0 (and it correctly lists the specs for my flash drive. I don't believe I have any other options within BIOS for USB. Any other suggestions?
  10. THE INTRO: My server ran fairly stable for about a year and a half, then ceased to start up. I recently cannibalized my other desktop's PSU and graphics card and managed to get it to start up (it had been shutting down 2 seconds after hitting the power button). I've tweaked a million BIOS settings to turn off things I'm not using (audio, parallel/serial ports, etc.), and make sure that it's booting from the flash drive. All of this took an eternity, but here I am, everything should be good to go, right? THE ISSUE: I get to the screen where I select unRAID OS or Memtest86+. It loads bzimage and bzroot. Success! So far. On the next screen, all kinds of startup posting that I can't read flashes across the screen, and then...the computer turns off. OR I've also seen it hang on the line "scsi4 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices". See attached image for everything that was visible on the screen at that hang. Ideas, anybody? MY CURRENT SETUP: MSI K8N Neo4-F 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2 x 1024 MB DDR400 UnRaid 4.7 Plus (most recent official release); was working fine before computer (PSU + video card) crapped out
