    I ditched the HighPoint r750 for the LSI SAS 9201-16i. It supports the same cables as the r750. The driver is built into the kernel. So I no longer have to worry about the highpoint driver breaking with every kernel update.

    I've regretted buying the highpoint r750 cards for years because of the horrible driver and lack of support from the manufacturer. I decided it is time to find a better solution.
