  2. Great looking plug-in Thanks for all your work. I have been following thread for a while. Hope I didn't miss the answer to this problem. I am running  unRAID Server Pro 5.0-rc11, simpleFeatures.web.server-1.0.11, VirtualBox Plugin v0.5.2 and have downloaded vbox-4.2.8-unRAID-3.4.26.tgz again to make sure I have a good copy. This is what I get via putty:

    root@Tower1:~# /etc/rc.d/rc.virtualbox install

  3. There just got to be a better way!!!

Maybe next time I'll try a a Usb cdrom drive with some sort of live cd.

Exactly what I was afraid of happened. Removed board to a windows system to flash. Flashed perfect. Installed,  congratulations you are the proud winner of a red ball! The cause a bad connection. Maybe I should have set the array not to auto start. I had problems with auto start a while back, too long ago to remember the version. Thought I remember reading about it may not be working or maybe not sticking at the moment.(Could be wrong hope I am. Does anyone know for sure?)

Any Ideas on how to power up and check to see if all the drives are readable  without creating any red balls. lf this off topic sorry, please fell free to move.

  4. Looking for a windows or linux iso file to install to the unraid flash drive's boot menu so I can flash my IBM BR10i any ideas? The sasflash_x64/86 files need windows and the linux flavor needs certain drivers don't know which ones. I tried a copy of a UBCD4WIN cd iso I created a few years ago but it wouldn't boot. Did get get freedos to boot.

  5. Hi,

I am stucked witch ACPI S3 on Beta 5.10. (browsed now for hours the forum)

    I have understood that

    echo -n 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep is not working anymore in 5.xx

s2ram is not working starting beta4 as commented by Joe L. Both packages are not available in unmeu 1.5 anymore

echo -n mem >/sys/power/state stops the server working

My mo-board is supporting S3 (by logfile).

So: what is the actual method to set the server in S3 in 5.10b mode? If any tools needed, where to get them?

    Thanks for support

Have you tried simpleFeatures? It has a s3 sleep button. It works for me. I am running Beta 5.10. You should be able to find a way to hook into this function.

  6. Newegg emailed me a coupon code for 20% off Rosewill power supplies for 48 hours, that's what got me thinking. Don't  know if I should trust my system to a Rosewill? I know I would trust a Corsair it's only amp less on the 12v rail and I like the variable speed fan. Looking at medium size 7200 rpm drive build. How is the lead length? I am using a tower with a bottom mounted p/s at the moment.

    quote:

warranty: 5 years for Corsair and 2 years for the Rosewill

Guess I got some more thinking to do.
