Can no longer connect to Unraid shares from Windows 11
Still no go. I think it is a Windows 11 credentials thing and I may have to do a reinstall of Windows. Oh joy.

Can no longer connect to Unraid shares from Windows 11
Out of the clear blue, I can no longer connect to any of my Unraid shares. I can connect by the IP address though. Recently, I did have to reinstall Plex Server but I don't recall making any changes to Unraid shares. Attached is a diagnostic file I created this morning. Please help! tower-diagnostics-20250924-0758.zip

files disappearing
Another thing that I noticed is that the missing files are still using the same disk space on the array as before. I would say several terabytes of data. Almost as if the files are hidden.

files disappearing
Would there be any way to recover the missing files? What gets me is the fact that all of the folders and sub folders are intact; just the .mp3 and .flac files missing. I do have 2 parity drives with 2 data drives, all 10tb.

I recently noticed that my internal SSD generated a SMART error, overheating maybe? The SSD is used as my POOL device. What if I remove it and restart array?

files disappearing
I have an extensive music library containing almost 1000 albums, recently, I noticed Plex would show music titles but could not play them. When I accessed the share folder using Total Commander, I see that artist and album folders were intact but most contained no files. I don't know what could have caused this. Attached is a diagnostic file. Unfortunately, I did reboot the system, so the file might not show anything. tower-diagnostics-20241115-1653.zip

replacing failed data disk with smaller one.
thanks, that's what i suspected too

replacing failed data disk with smaller one.
One of my 3 10tb data disks just died. I have 2 10tb parity disks. Can I replace my failed disk with a 4tb drive that I have as a spare or do I need to use another 10tb?

Notifications via messaging or email?
Ok, I'll check my configuration. Thanks!

Notifications via messaging or email?
I recently had a parity disk fail and didn't catch it for several weeks. Is there any way to export UnRaid notifications via email or messenger? Would this require an APP, tool or docker? They are enabled in Notification setting.

Removing empty disk
I used UnBalanced scatter function to move all data from my 4TB disk 4 to other disks in array. How do I now remove disk 4? Do I perform "New Config"? I am not replacing disk 4 with another. Will parity need to be rebuilt? I am also adding a second 10TB parity disk. Do I do that after?

Cannot add parity drive(s)
I think that is exactly what it is. I found this on the drive data sheet. "Second, if you put a new SATA HDD with this feature into a legacy chassis or enclosure, the drive may not spin up! The HDD is not defective. Some legacy power supplies provide 3.3V power on P3 (Pin 3), and this forces the HDD to get stuck in a hard reset condition preventing the HDD from spinning up." I'm going to try to sever pin 3 on a cable. Update: Found a couple SATA adapter cables which do not use pin 3, Parity drive now recognized!

Cannot add parity drive(s)
It's a helium filled drive do it's hard to detect if it's spinning up. It is currently being formatted in USB box right now, so I know the drive works. When it finishes up. It try the SATA controller again. The drive is only recognized by UnRaid server when in my USB enclosure. No other configuration work. I tried swapping data cables, tried onboard controller, tried formatting first. Tried tweaking my BIOS, It's not even recognized by BIOS. These drives have a "power off feature". I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Cannot add parity drive(s)
It's still not recognized using the onboard SATA controller. I'm going to put it into my USB drive enclosure to see what happens

Cannot add parity drive(s)
I discovered recently that my 16TB parity drive crapped out. I purchased (2) 10TB SATA drives to that I can have some redundancy. My problem is when I add either drive, Unraid does not see them. I formatted one of them on my laptop just fine, but it is still not seen in Unraid. I must be doing something wrong? BTW, the drive controller does not reside on the motherboard, if that helps. Attached is diagnostics file. tower-diagnostics-20241104-0350.zip

Hard drive needs replacement
I have 1 10TB for my parity drive and (4) 4TB drives for data. One of my data drive is failing and needs replacement. I was thinking about reducing the number of 4TB drives I'm using, and maybe using a single 12TB or a 16TB. I know the parity drive needs to be at least equal or larger in size to the largest data drive. Is there a fairly easy way to do this? Use the 16TB as my new parity drive first.? Then replace (2) 4TB data drives (one at a time) with the 10TB drive?

No longer able to access UnRaid from network!
Removed the IP stack from Windows and put back in. UnTaid briefly showed up then disappeared. Finally traced it to a firewall issue with Windows. Don't get me started on Windows. All good now (so far) Mike

No longer able to access UnRaid from network!
well I might have been a bit premature with the previous post. I can access UnRaid on my Android cell and my wife's Android tablet now but still cannot connect using my Win 10 notebook. I'm looking into it now

Thank you very highly for your help and hints! I swapped a couple of the Deco M5 units and presto! Problem fixed.

No longer able to access UnRaid from network!
I have only 2 ports on the Deco router. One goes to the cable modem. You gave me an idea. I will swap two of the three Decos. Maybe the one does have a bad port. I will ping later.

No longer able to access UnRaid from network!
Btw, the diagnostic file that I sent was when the situation IS happening. I have to been unable to connect to UnRaid since a week or so.

No longer able to access UnRaid from network!
This morning I now see the server is on the network as 10.0.0.31, but I cannot access it. Ping returns a general failure as well. You mentioned a firewall?

No longer able to access UnRaid from network!
I agree. I rebooted both the router and the cable modem. Also replaced the cable. Does the fact that there is led activity on the on board ethernet mean anything? I also noticed briefly that a message saying ethernet adapter is offline, check the cable. Or something like that. I'll order one as my box of pc junk surprised me by not having a spare. I also have a USB wifi adapter plugged in but I don't know if it is being recognized by UnRaid.
