  1. I will be re-using my ATX case, drives, and power supply. Was thinking of going with the following: Intel Core i3-10100 Desktop Processor 4 Cores up to 4.3 GHz LGA1200 ASUS Prime B460-PLUS LGA 1200 (Intel 10th Gen) ATX Motherboard Crucial RAM 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR4 2400 MHz
  2. I'm looking to upgrade a 7-8 year old system replacing the CPU and Motherboard. I was looking at the recommended hardware page but that has not been updated in a while. Basically the system will be used for storage of pics, movies, and documents as well as streaming movies from it to Raspberry Pi's. I'm not looking to install any apps or Dockers and such. Like I said, it is primarily used as a storage device. Please offer some suggestions for a CPU and Motherboard. I was looking at an Intel i3 and an LGA 1200 socket motherboard. It should have at least 6 SATA ports. I do have a DELL H310 SATA card to install also. As far as budget, only looking to spend $200-$300. Really appreciate it. Thanks.
  3. Thanks guys. Had to order a new drive so I can start the conversion process. I read through the process and have a question - what is a screen session? Lets say disk 6 is my new empty drive and I want to copy disk 5 to it. I assume I can use do the copy and paste from windows explorer? Sorry I know only enough about Unraid just to get by.
  4. Hi Squid. Attached is the diagnostics file. tower-diagnostics-20210523-1642.zip
  5. I am running Unraid 6.9.3 in my server. The server is primarily used to store data (pictures, movies, documents) and stream movies from Raspberry Pi's. I access the files from the server using a PC that is on the same network. Almost every time I try to transfer files to the Unraid server, the CPU maxes out and the server loses connectivity from the network. A message is displayed "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occured". I try to access the GUI Dashboard, I get a "Can't reach this page" message. Unraid system specs: AMD Sempron 140 @2700 MHZ BIOSTAR Group A760G M2+ motherboard 4GB DDR2 RAM Boot Device - Cruzer 2GB flash drive I built this system about 7 or 8 years ago and feel like it is time for an upgrade. But before I do that, I'm hoping to understand what is going on with the current system.
