Working VM suddenly booting to UEFI Shell
Thank you for your help, it has taken me all day but just got VM booted again. You pointed me in the right direction, the solution that worked for me was getting a GParted LiveCD booting that with the vdisk.img and the using the testdisk application to search for and recreate partitions. I also did a chkdsk from the windows boot cd which found 1 error but not sure if that helped or not. do you have any advice for how I can prevent this happening again? or is there anything that could periodically back up the VM?

Thank you again for your reply, yes that's all that outputted I am making a copy of vdisk1.img now Sorry if this is obvious question, to attempt repair with fsck would the command just go in unraid terminal

Working VM suddenly booting to UEFI Shell
Hi, I have had a windows server 2016 VM running for last 18+ Months no problems. This morning I have come to use it and it has booted to UEFI interactive shell, I have gone into VM bios and tried to manually select the disk but nothing happens. I haven't changed any settings. I have searched the forums but have not been able to find a solution, any help would be appreciated Below is log and xml -machine VM's and Dockers missing after upgrade to 6.9.2 (SOLVED)
thanks for replying, I don't know how its happened but there were 2 version of libvert.img & docker.img on disk 1 and cache, neither had ever been in my 'old' server so not sure how it happened but it seems the one on the cache is the right version

VM's and Dockers missing after upgrade to 6.9.2 (SOLVED)
Hi I have just upgraded to 6.9.2 from 6.9 and after a restart i noticed my VM's weren't working. Some background information below to explain what i think has happened I have recently combined the drives from my two servers, I went to tools used 'new config' and added my drives to my mains server they all appeared fine and after everything looked good i assigned the parity drive and unraid completed its parity sync/ rebuild. It has been working fine for a few days so decided to get rid of the upgrade prompt and go to 6.9.2 after a restart i realised there were no VM's and most of my dockers were missing, however the ones that were running are the ones from my old server. It seems that the docker/VM settings from my old server have reemerged after upgrading. how has this happened? it is possible for me to rollback to 6.9 with previous settings or is there an easy fix? Thanks Edit: Not sure how it happened but there were 2 docker.img after checking both one of them had my old settings so seems like all fixed

Adding drives from one UNRAID system to another (SOLVED)
Thank you, this answers my question perfectly, I'll make sure I do that with the parity drive as well, just incase

Adding drives from one UNRAID system to another (SOLVED)
I have had a search of the forum and can see people have asked similar question but just wanted to make sure I was clear as the drives I want to move have all the stuff I don't want to lose on them (photos etc...) My original microserver has 4 NAS drives in it that i have shares for photos and important stuff My other tower has cheaper white label drives with general media on them I understand I have the use the 'new config' in tools when I add the drives together but will it automatically add the shares from the old system to the one? after that will i be able to assign the shares for photos etc to only use the NAS drives and keep the media on the white label ones? Thanks
