  1. I use my Unraid server mostly for cold storage at this point. That may change in time. When I turned on the server yesterday, I was a little surprised when my server didnt show any of the containers or vm's I had created on the management page. The only thing I had changed was adding a cache drive. I have since disabled it from being automatically used. Not sure what happened. I have looked at the logs and didnt see anything that indicated a problem (from what I can understand). When I tried to reinstall some of the containers, I got an error that the resources were already in use. When I went to the docker tab, it didnt show any containers present. I am figuring that the cache drive may have played a part in the problem. Is there a way I can "reset" docker to be the way it was without having to reinstall the Unraid server ?
  2. Trying to install different versions of Windows as a VM on my Unraid server. I have tried 3 different versions of Windows with no luck I have tried all of the different drive interface types with no luck i have tried two different versions of the VirtualIO ISO with no luck. I can install Linux as a VM without any problems. It has to be something I am not doing right from the windows side that is the problem. I am used to working with VMware, so creating a VM is something I am familiar with. Would appreciate any suggestsions on what to look at. Ron
  3. Trying to follow a Youtube video on getting a MacOS vm to run under docker. I got Macinbox to create a MacOS VM. When I try to start it up, I get an error that libvrt is missing or not running. I then installed Virt Manager Beta (only one available). It shows as running under the docker tab. I have tried both the 'public' ip address 10.0.1.x and the 172.17.0.x ip range and Virt Manager errors out with the connection attempt being refushed. Would appreciate any suggestions on what others have done to get this working. Using brand new installation of Unraid v6.9.2.
  4. Thanks for your help on this. I now have both of my Unraid servers talking to a single UPS.
  5. I have two small Unraid servers. Just connected the first one to a APC Back-UPS RS 700G. The RJ45 port on the back can be either Serial or Ethernet. I have been going through the online manual from the Unraid interface and dont have a good idea of how to get things running using an ethernet connection instead of serial. Should I something else to get a single UPS talking to multiple Unraid servers. Would appreciate pointers on how to get this setup. Thanks
