Share Permission Role Names : Secure renamed to something like 'Public Read Only'
https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/shares/network-access/ The Security setting has the following options: Public - The share is unsecured and all users have both read and write access to the contents of the share. Secure - The share is secured and all users, including guests, have read access. You can select which of your users have write access. Private - The share is private, and you select which of your users have access. You can then pick if that user has read/write or read-only access. if Secure share can be read by everyone but only written by specified users shouldnt Secure be renamed to Public Read Only. Secure just doesnt match the "all users, including guests, have read access."

Re-purpose disks in exsting array - change a data drive to additional parity drive
Hi Referencing the docs: https://docs.unraid.net/legacy/FAQ/shrink-array/ I'd like to use the "Clear Drive Then Remove Drive" method Step 5 : "Make sure ALL data has been copied off the drive; drive MUST be completely empty for the clearing script to work." How do i do this? I couldnt find a gui item to 'flush' the disk empty to the other drives in the array? In each share do i untick the drive I want to shrink so its not allocated to anything and then run mover and it does this?

Re-purpose disks in exsting array - change a data drive to additional parity drive
Hi all, I'm on Unraid 7.0.1 I have 8 drives with btrfs enabled : - Main array has 6 data and 1 parity - Also one small cache drive On the main array the data is spread across all the 6 drives but the total main array has more space left than the largest drive. Is it technically possible to reduce the number of drives in an existing array and then repurpose that 'free' drive as an additional parity drive. I have no more physical slots free so this isnt a scenario where i can add additional disks to help this process. many thanks to anyone that can help even if the answer is its 'not possible'

(SOLVED) VM Win 10 Keeps Pausing or Will not start
I don't know if this helps but I had a similar issue on a Windows 10 VM with a GPU attached. (Unraid 6.10-rc2 Windows 10 with nvidia gpu. SeaBIOS used otherwise always goes into bios on boot) I made sure VM power management was set to never turn off and it would still go paused erratically. Changing the machine type to a lower number seems to have solved it. It was on i440fx-6.1 but now with i440fx-3.0 no issues so far (its been 2 days). I haven't tried another other versions and I don't know what benefits I've lost by using the lower level of 3.0 but as it working ... Cheers
